21 REASONS WHY YOU NEED THE POWER OF WATER TODAY!
One of the most important pieces of information you can be given if you are serious about getting better (which for most people nowadays also includes weight loss / feelings of anxiety, worry or depression) is in regards to your current state of hydration.
Water is often overlooked as a tool in getting better because of the abundance and easy availabilty of it within our society. Take your time and please email Mark if you would like more information.

Information and recommendations on water intake are based upon training, personal experience and very extensive research but it is not medical advice. Always consult your Doctor before embarking on a change in diet or exercise. This information however is intended for people to act upon to help limit the damaging effects that chronic dehydration may be having on your body.
The recommendation is that you drink a minimum of two to three litres of plain water every day. Half a litre immediately upon rising, a litre / two litres during the day and half a litre just before you retire to sleep (for the rest of your life) - not just for the next 90 days.
And cutting down your current "over-eating" by upping your water intake will also lengthen your life span. Research with animals has shown a 30% longer lifespan for those who under-eat rather than over eat!
1. Understand that drinking tea, coffee, alcohol or manufactured soft drinks is not a substitute for drinking plain water. Thinking that drinking a liquid is the same as drinking plain water is a catastrophic mistake.
2. Because water is freely available and you do not have to pay much for it doesn't mean you may not be chronically dehydrated.
3. Like any other deficiency disorder, like vitamin C deficiency in scurvy, vitamin B deficiency in beri-beri, iron deficiency in anemia, vitamin D in rickets etc. The most efficient method of treatment is by supplanting the missing ingredient. (In this case plain water).
4. The reason for most major diseases of the human body in any medical textbook still reads, "aetiology unknown".
5. Accordingly, all medical treatments are palliative and none seem to be curative (except the use of antibiotics for bacterial infections).
6. Water regulates all functions, including the activity of the solutes it dissolves and circulates, meaning the mind and body function better when they have an adequate regular water supply.
7. One of the most misunderstood symptoms of the body is mistaking thirst for hunger!
8. The body has a priority system that is predetermined according to a scale of function. Brain, lungs, liver, kidneys and glands take priority over muscles, bones and skin - UNLESS - a different priority is programmed into the system such as muscle development through regular movement and exercise.
9. Exercising twice a day (for a minimum of 45 minutes per session) will release hormone-sensitive lipase, fat burning enzymes which will remain active for 12 hours at a time ensuring your body will return to it's normal size, shape and natural build if you continue to re-hydrate and exercise.
10. Weight loss occurs because by drinking plain water, you begin to separate the two sensations of hunger and thirst and you stop overeating to satisfy an urge for the intake of water.
11. Also when muscles are used to exercise, they begin to metabolise some of their stored fat as a choice source of energy meaning more sugar will become available to be used by the brain. (And you will lose weight rapidly).
12. Disfigurement of the body by excess fat storage is the initial step in the decline of the human body and may be caused by the wrong choice of fluid as well as poor food choices.
13. Long term weight management is about re-educating rather than programming food limitation. You MUST EAT on a regular basis (just not to the extent of over-eating).
14. Do not attempt to drink more than 2-3 litres of plain water per day (unless you are a professional athlete) as this can be dangerous. You will not undo the damage of many months and years in a few days. You need to moderately drink your 2-3 litres per day until full hydration is achieved and this takes time. (This period will also differ from person to person).
15. Regular daily movement will keep muscles well co-ordinated and correct any physiological processes that are a result of being anxious, depressed or emotionally stressed.
16. Alcohol, coffee, tea and caffeine containing drinks do not count as water intake because of the diuretic nature of these liquids.
17. Simple fact - there is more natural magic in water than most medications we have been "brainwashed" into believing in.
18. Have you ever stopped to think - if the body is mainly made of water (roughly 70%) - where does it get its top up from if we do not drink plain water on a regular basis?
19. Please remember - before you decide you are unwell or hungry - you may just be thirsty!
20. And finally, although water is liquid - all liquid is not water. This includes milk and fruit juice, if it is not plain water - think of it as food!
21. The way your body (unconsciously) regulates food intake is via "weight" and not calories - this is why upping your intake of water (or foods high in water content) is found in every single diet!
