The magic is - there is no magic...


I have never met anyone who couldn't lose 2 pounds / 1 kg per week and that includes you.

 

Create a measurable consistent process and you have a diet that can be adapted to fit your current style of life.

A successful process includes, writing, walking, water, food you enjoy and some warmth and genuine concern.

It doesn't include expensive supplements, strange machines or equipment and it works.

Choosing when to "feast" or overeat in awareness - such as holidays, birthdays etc is also part of the learning process.

Once you learn - you can overeat and you can also create a helpful, nutritious meal plan that includes all types of food and drink that will create weight loss - then you can communicate this "process" to yourself by writing it down, ticking it off and becoming aware of successful strategies that work for you.

You can also measure unsuccessful strategies or events or people or places and stop beating yourself up about it. Learning how you sabotage your own life is one of the most helpful things I personally have ever learnt.

If you stop sabotaging yourself - you become more successful, that's why I can guarantee the way I work.

By continually choosing to measure what works, what doesn't - then we're left with simple strategies that are highly individual to you, that you can measure, that you can do, thoughts that you choose to think, feelings you choose to experience, resources that help you lose 2lb this week, people in your life that are helpful - rather than hurtful.

That's what works...

Measuring something that works or doesn't work - that's the only magic - just the act of measuring begins the change process.

Measuring the unhelpful way you talk to yourself is probably the most significant thing I have uncovered in all the time I have studied - "Getting Better". 

And this includes getting better at choosing the size and shape you want to be - choosing the food that is most helpful - choosing the drink that quenches your thirst - choosing the movement that will start the ongoing healing process and burn away the excess fat whilst rebuilding a newer you...

This is the secret of all successful diets - just lose 2 pounds (or a wee bit more or less) today / this week and then replicate what your successful process was...

If you begin to measure what works / what doesn't work and most importantly listen to the voice or voices inside your own head - you will be able to begin the process of becoming comfortable again within your own body.

If you are currently in pain or have been told that you need to lose weight because of health reasons it makes even more sense to shorten the timeframe and goals into 2lb wins.

Could you then string more than a 2lb loss into a 4lb loss - then a 6lb one - could you keep going and eradicate your current health issues and lose over 100lbs if need be...

The answer is probably - it really depends on you simplifying what works - allowing yourself to overeat on certain occasions - and mainly sticking to the choices you have decided to make.

Can you eat any type of food and lose weight - absolutely.

You just need to learn a few helpful guidelines and be aware of your own power in becoming a healthier, happier you...

If you don't restrict certain foods then you are much less likely to binge because you learn to deal with cravings - and if you fancy an ice-cream or a bit of cake then you have it. It doesn't make you the "Devil", it means you want to experience enjoying eating again.

And eating should be joyful - it's designed to feel good - otherwise we would starve to death.

The main failure in "dieting" isn't the food types or the amount of food but the actual remembering of what works for you as an individual because we are all different.

Simply put: There are only 3 types of diet in the world.

1. Diet number 1 advocates certain types of food / drink and denies other foods and drinks.

2. Diet number 2 advocates certain amounts - i.e. portion control / calorie counting.

3. Diet number 3 is the combination of diet number 1 and diet number 2.

That's it on the 500+ different diets - they all fit into the above 3 categories.

Some diets also include information about exercise and some say it doesn't matter - depends on the author / guru / Doctor who promotes their way of thinking.

Occasionally a diet will also cover motivation - cognition - addictive process - mindfulness etc and this can all be of help - however most people just want a simple plan that will work as quick as possible.

And that's why I decided to teach people - just like you - how to lose weight today - and keep losing weight / changing body shape / becoming healthier and happier by focusing on what actually works.

The other thing I must mention is that I have personally weighed over 10,000 people and helped them collectively lose over 5 tons.

I had the honour to teach the clinical psychologist from NASA - and Bill Clinton's personal advisor (Dr Taibi) some of his own theory at one of my workshops that he attended.
